Welcome to Cha Am and Thai Paradise South

Cha Am is a historic fishing village on the Thai Gulf. There are approximately 20,000 people in Cha Am district (amphoe). It lies 25 km to the north of Hua Hin-a city of 50,000 people and the site of the late King's preferred palace of residence. Bangkok lies 175 km to the north.

Weather. The weather is usually quite hot with temperatures ranging from 23 to 40 degrees Celsius. The hottest month is May and the coolest month is December (20-30 degrees). The driest times are also in December and January so that is when the Europeans fly south!

Weekend Getaways. ChaAm is a popular escape for Bangkok residents who want to leave the hustle and bustle of that big city behind them. If you live in Bangkok then Cha Am is a 2.5 hour drive south.
