"Paradise in Cha Am"
About Cha-Am
Cha Am is a picturesque coastal town which was originally a fishing village on the Thai Gulf. At night one can see the fishing fleet lit up far out to sea. There are plenty of attractions to keep you occupied when in Cha-Am. The area is flat and perfect for cycling (we supply free bicycles).
Cha Am beach is a long stretch of relatively undisturbed beach which extends for about 3 km and is perfect for an early morning walk followed by a coffee at one of the many cafes in Ruamchit Road which runs along the beach.
The main attraction of Cha-Am is the long and beautiful beach. You can sunbathe or stay under the shade of the big pine trees, you can go ride a jetski or just do nothing.
Alternatively you can walk or cycle to the north end of Cha Am beach where the fishing village is located.
There is also a statue of an ancient King and a large six-armed Buddha temple nearby.
For those who like animals there is a Swiss Sheep Farm and further south there is an interesting zoo in Hua Hin Zoo and Animal Park which is a government run rehabilitation centre: The gibbons seem to be the main attraction at the zoo but there are also wild birds, fish and deer.
